The invention relates to a heat-insulating wall, in particular a wall constructed from individual layers arranged one above the other, whose layer which contributes to the heat insulation is arranged between exterior covering layers, enclosing an inner space, and can be introduced, in the form of liquid starting components, into the inner space via an opening, it being possible for the air displaced by the heat insulation to escape via at least one outlet opening which is equipped with means which prevent the heat-insulation material (18) from escaping. In the case of a heat insulating wall, the air-outlet point is formed by a duct (19) which, running from the space which is to be filled with foam to the duct outlet, extends essentially in the same direction and the essentially constant cross-section of which suffices, with respect to casting, as an air through-passage, its duct cross-section together with its duct length constituting, for the heat-insulation material (18) which is introduced into the inner space by pressure and flows into the duct, a flow resistance which counteracts the pressure, with the result that the flowing heat-insulation material (18) comes to a standstill within the length of the duct.
