Sheet for body protection, e.g. protective vests, comprises several stacked layers pref. contained within a cover, -1 of the layers pref. comprising 100% polyamide, the layers being capable of sideways movement in at least the border regions. The thickness of the plate excluding the cover is 1-15 mm and that of the individual polyamide layers if 0.1-2 mm. Body armour contg. -1 of these plates is also claimed. Pref. -1 of the layers comprises polyethylene fibre.
