Multifunctional actuator for automatic tool changing arm or for pallet changing devices at work centres

The actuator to operate automatic mandrel tool changing or pallet changing devices in work centres presents three output shafts simultaneously actuated by a single motor. The synchronised axial movement of the output shafts is achieved by means of a cylindrical cam with three independent threads, each of which co-operates permanently with a pawl connected to the respective output shaft. One cycle of rotation of the single motor corresponds to a synchronised movement of the three output shafts, each one dedicated to make the arm perform one of the specific functions necessary to accomplish the entire automatic tool or pallet changing cycle.
