In an image data transmission system which is fortransmitting an image data signal from a craft flyingover an object zone to an earth station and which comprisesa first (photoelectric) transducer (34a) for producing afirst partial (electric) signal representative of a partialzone when the craft is at a first position and a secondtransducer (34b) for producing a second partial signalrepresentative of the partial zone when the craft is, afirst duration later, at a second position spaced apartfrom the first position by a first distance, a delaycircuit (36-1) produces a delayed signal having a delayequal to the first duration relative to the first partialsignal. A time difference detecting circuit (36-2) detectsa time difference between the delayed signal and the secondpartial signal and produces a time difference signal. Atransmission processing circuit (36-3) processes thedelayed signal by the use of the time difference signal andproduces a processed signal. A level difference detectingcircuit (36-4) detects a level difference between theprocessed signal and the second partial signal and producesa level difference signal. A transmitting unit (37)transmits the delayed signal, the time difference signal,and the level difference signal collectively as the imagedata signal to the earth station. It is possible to reducedata quantity of the time difference signal and the leveldifference signal to at least one-tenth relative to that ofthe second partial signal.
