Dielectric ceramic composition of BaO, TiO2, Nd2O3, Sm2O3 and Bi2O3

A dielectric ceramic composition is disclosed which consists principally of barium oxide, titanium oxide, neodymium oxide, samarium oxide and bismuth oxide, which are represented by the following formula xBaO - yTiO₂ - z[(1 - a - b)Nd₂O₃ - aSm₂O₃ - bBi₂O₃], where 0.10 ≦ x ≦ 0.20, 0.60 ≦ y ≦ 0.75, 0.10 ≦ z ≦ 0.24, x + y + z = 1, 0 a ≦ 0.25 and 0 b ≦ 0.30. Also disclosed is a dielectric ceramic composition which consists principally of: barium oxide, titanium oxide, neodymium oxide, samarium oxide and bismuth oxide as major components which are represented by the following formula xBaO - yTiO₂ - z[(1 - a - b)Nd₂O₃ - aSm₂O₃ - bBi₂O₃], where 0.10 ≦ x ≦ 0.20, 0.60 ≦ y ≦ 0.75, 0.10 ≦ z ≦ 0.25, x + y + z = 1, 0 a ≦ 0.30 and 0 b ≦ 0.35; and not larger than 2.0 parts by weight of alumina per 100 parts by weight of a total amount of the major components.
