Protection arrangement against corona from the stator winding of an electric machine

The corona protection arrangement for the stator winding of an electrical machine, comprising a semiconductive textile corona protection strip which is wound around the main insulation of the slot part and end bracket part of each bar of the stator winding, is constructed in such a manner that the slot part (10) of the stator winding bar has wound around it a first semiconductive, volume-conductive corona protection strip (24) with an approximately constant amount of overlap, in at least one layer. The end bracket part has a second semiconductive, volume-conductive corona protection strip (24) wound around it in at least one layer, the amount of overlap becoming continuously less from where the bar emerges from the stator body (14) towards the end of the bar.
