The invention relates to a method for producing an arrangement with a grooved winding carrier and a coil winding for an electrical machine, comprising the following steps: providing a grooved winding carrier (1) and producing a coil winding (4) on the grooved winding carrier (1), that sections of the coil winding (4) are arranged in slots (2) of the grooved winding carrier (1) and are electrically insulated from the grooved winding carrier (1) at least in the region of the slots (2) by means of insulation (6), the insulation (6 ) is circumferentially produced in the grooves (2) as a multi-layer insulation in which several separate layers of insulation material are arranged one above the other. Furthermore, an arrangement with a grooved winding carrier and a coil winding for an electrical machine is provided.
