The invention is based on a method for automatic regulation of a converter-supplied three-phase machine, in the case of which method the actual values of the stator flux components and of the torque are formed from the stator current and stator voltage components, and the stator voltage vector which is to be connected via the invertor is preselected from the position of the stator flux vector. The object is to develop such a method in such a manner that the entire rotation speed adjustment range can be controlled with very good dynamic and steady-state characteristics. This is achieved in that the regulation differences of the stator flux magnitude ( DELTA psi ) and of the torque ( DELTA m) are supplied to a fuzzy-logic regulator which determines the voltage vector (V nu ) to be connected, with the associated pulse times (T nu ) over a fixed pulse period (t), and produces the actuating signals (sa, sb, sc) via pulse-width modulation (7).
