Non-irritant compsn. for prophylactic treatment achieving complete disinfection in 30 s. comprises 10-18 wt.% of a low mol. wt. alcohol, pref. a 2-3 C satd. alcohol and at least one of the following:(a) propylene glycol (10-20 wt%);(b) a nonionic surfactant (1-2.5 wt.%); (c) a sequestrant (0.5-2.5 mM/l).
