Process for preparing copper powders containing a dispersion and such copper powder

Prodn. of a dispersoid-contg. Cu powder comprises: (a) stirring excess Cu metal granulate into an aq. soln. of an ammonium salt and/or ammonium hydroxide together with an added salt soln. at pH at least 4 while supplying an oxygen-contg. gas; (b) sepg. the resulting Cu-contg. ppte. from the Cu metal granulate; (c) heating the ppte. at 150-500 degrees C in a reducing atmos. for complete conversion of Cu(OH)2 and CuO into metallic Cu powder; and (d) cooling the dispersoid-contg. Cu powder. Also claimed is a Cu powder contg., within the powder particles, a homogeneously distributed dispersoid in the form of Cu-insol. particles, the powder being produced by common pptn. of at least one Cu cpd. with a dispersoid precursor cpd. and then heat treatment to reduce the cpd. mixt..
