The transformer includes a primary winding (10) and a secondary winding (11) established on a magnetic circuit (1) channelling the magnetic flux from one coil to the other. The magnetic core comprises at least three branches (4-6) labelled lateral and central, linked together at their ends by two bars (7 and 8). The windings are arranged around the lateral branches, whilst the central branch (4) includes an air gap (9) of predetermined adjustable size. A further closed external winding (12) is arranged around the outside of the magnetic circuit.
