NARROW BAND, ARBITRARY HF MODULATION AND NOISE GENERATOR

A generator of high frequency (HF) vibrations is disclosed, as well as an arbitrary HF modulation process. The modulation generator contains digital numeric control oscillators (NCO) after which digital-analogue conversion is performed, the frequency, phase and/or amplitude modulation being freely predetermined. Two phase-modulated, parallel operating NCOs whose signals are digitally added are used for simultaneously modulating amplitude and/or phase, without an additional digital multiplier. As a result, this generator achieves the highest possible data processing speeds today and thus a remarkable time resolution of the generated signal.
