摘要
The refining process for coke oven gas, which is an existing Fumaks-Rhodacs Process to remove H2S by decomposition using NaOH and convert HCN to nonhazardous NaSCN using sulfur, is characterized by (A) heating at least one part of the absorbing solution, which is introduced to the dissolving tank from the absorption tower, through a separate heating tank to 100 deg.C and (B) supplying the heated solution to the dissolving tank where the solution temperature is maintained at higher than 90 deg.C. The process reduces the amount of free sulfur in the absorbing solution and so enhances polysulfide reaction efficiency to conduct fully the final Rhodanate reaction and remove HCN efficiently from the coke oven gas.
