The method and apparatus is for automatically flickering the break warning light for a constant time. The apparatus comprises a switching means switching the circuit connected to the break light according to a drive signal; a switching drive means generating the drive sugnal according to a control signal; a clock generation means; a flickering decision means; and a control signal generation means transmitting the control signal to the switching drive means based on the signals generated from the flickering decision means and the clock generation means.
