The present invention relates to a biodegradable thermoplastic polymer blend composition in which the first polymer and the second polymer are uniformly coalesced together into a substantially uniform blend. The second polymer of the composition acts so that the composition and its manufactured moldings can biodegrade faster than the biodegradation rate of the individual polymer components that are the slowest biodegradable in the composition. The composition will further comprise a polysaccharide component, such as a starch component (such as degraded starch).
