STRAIN OF BACTERIUM ERYSIPELOTHRIX INSIOLIOSA USED FOR PREPARING BIOPREPARATIONS AGAINST ERYSIPELAS IN PIGS

FIELD: biotechnology. SUBSTANCE: strain Erysipelothrix insioliosa ВГНКИ 6/24 showing high immunogenic activity and stability is proposed for preparing biopreparations against erysipelas in pigs. Strain ВГНКИ-6 is obtained by cloning of the parental strain on elective nutrient media and deposited in Collection of Microorganism ВГНКИ vetpreparations at number 24. Optimal strain growth on the nutrient media without addition of 5-10% native serum blood and 3-day broth culture of strain BP-2 inactivated by heating at 60 C is attained. Period of culture maturity after sowing on the nutrient media is 48 hr. Strain shows stable properties, high immunogenic activity for pigs but does not show immunogenicity for white mice.
