FIELD: olefin polymerization. SUBSTANCE: catalyst of propylene polymerization has vanadium trioxychloride, titanium tetracresylate solution in inert hydrocarbon and titanium tetrachloride which were added to carrier successively followed by washing prepared solid product with inert hydrocarbon. Carrier: catalyst has product of sequential interaction of porous silicon dioxide treated with hexamethyldisalazane with alkoxymagnesium chloride and silicon tetrachloride solution in inert hydrocarbon followed by separation and washing solid carrier with inert hydrocarbon at the following molar ratio of components in reaction mixture, mmole/g silicon dioxide: magnesium alkoxychloride 1-10; silicon tetrachloride 1-25; vanadium trioxychloride 0.01-1.00; titanium tetracresylate 0.1-1.00, and titanium tetrachloride 1-40.
