FIELD: fire-fighting equipment. SUBSTANCE: self-propelled unit for extinguishing fires has chassis, hollow bar having nonclosed collector with sprayers located around its periphery on its one end, and its other end is connected with chassis for turning and with tank filled with fire-extinguishing compound. Unit is also provided with remote control system, additional hollow bar with collector, sprayer and pressure-operated valve, wash-off system, screen insulation, powder guns, two balance beams and life-support system with cryogenic heat exchanger. Tank with fire extinguishing compound is made in form of vessel with liquid nitrogen, and heat exchanger is located inside vessel. Vessel is mounted on chassis and communicated by means of flexible pipelines with hollow bars. Wash-off system is arranged above vessel with liquid nitrogen and connected with remote control system. Hollow bars are located inside bearing truss connected through balance beam with remote control system. Powder guns are arranged for motion in vertical plane on the second balance beam connected with remote control system. Life-support system is located on chassis and communicated through cryogenic heat exchanger by means of pipeline with vessel containing liquid nitrogen. Chassis, liquid nitrogen vessel, life-support system and remote control system are protected with screen insulation. Sprayers on collectors are made in form of holes and located over inner periphery of collectors, at least, in two rows at radial angles relative to bar corresponding to location of boundaries of well flame front.
