METHOD AND MECHANISM FOR VACUUM DEFEATHERING OF POULTRY CARCASSES

FIELD: poultry-processing industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves placing the carcasses into a chamber and building up vacuum therein by a sharp pressure drop from atmospheric pressure to 0.3-0.01 atm. The device for realization of the method comprises a working chamber for poultry and a vacuum chamber connected to it by a gate, the volume of the vacuum chamber being 3-100 times larger than that of the working chamber. EFFECT: improved functional and operating characteristics.
