METHOD OF CURING PARTIALLY ATROPHIED OPTIC NERVE

FIELD: ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: optic nerve is stimulated by bipolar pulses. For the purpose two pair of electrodes are used. Two electrodes covered with hemostatic collagen sponge coating are implanted into areas from which optic nerve goes. The third electrode is implanted into retrobulbar space. The fourth electrode is introduced into cervical area directly before influence. Stimulation is carried out at current of 10-100 mcA and frequency of 0.1-1.0 Hz for 150 s through both pairs of electrodes simultaneously. EFFECT: improved efficiency.
