FIELD: meat industry. SUBSTANCE: animal stunning box has carcass, pen door, rotary platform mounted on shafts, movable side wall mounted on shafts, platform and side wall retaining mechanisms. Rotary platform is made L-shaped and has inclined floor and shield positioned at the side opposed to side wall. Shield has projection inclined in animal discharge direction and positioned in the middle portion of shield. Projecting extends along shield length for a distance less than space between animal fore and hind limbs. Projection height is less than limb length. Platform rotation shaft and side wall rotation shaft are made such that platform and side wall are urged to rotate by weight of animal during discharge and returning to the initial position under the action of weight of construction proper, when animal has left the box.
