FIELD: microbiology, oncology. SUBSTANCE: plasmid pM 5 containing site encoding hemolysis plasmid pRD1 in vector pACYC 184 is introduced in E. coli ДН I and recombinant bacterium strain is obtained. Cells of the latter were treated with analyzed antibiotic at bacteriostatic concentration and survival of cells were determined. The presence of resistance mechanism to this agent in living cell is proved at condition that used concentration exceeds by 10-fold (not less) survival of cells in control strain (E. coli ДН I with vector plasmid pACYC 184). EFFECT: improved method of estimation.
