SUBSTANCE: method includes descending device in mine working to widen its base, pressing member-expander in walls of mine working using strut body with wedge-shaped lengthwise section, and withdrawal member-expander from the formed cavity. Two cylinders with sum of diameters equal to trench width are used to widen bases of trench-type mine working. The cylinders are placed along walls of the trench.
