FIELD: military equipment. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to unguided aviation illumination rockets meant to illuminate terrain in the dark. Flare war head 1 is composed of tail compartment 2 with illumination compound, nose compartment 3 with tube 5 and parachute system 6 connected to tail compartment 2 by means of rope, element 9 attaching war head to engine 8, fuze 10, calibrated element 11 for joining of nose and tail compartments, fairing 15 made fast to bottom 4 of nose compartment, rod 12, piston 13 with delay device 14. Space of fairing 15 houses additional piston 17 with hole 18 and additional charge to set parachute system in operation. Area of working surface of piston 17 exceeds similar area of piston 13. Clearance H is formed between piston 17 and bottom of nose compartment. EFFECT: increased operational reliability of flare war head. 1 dwg
