FIELD: metallurgy, methods of highly siliceous ferrosilicium and technical silicon heat in particular. SUBSTANCE: method provides for dosing, loading and heating of charge of quartzite, reducers mixture and wood chips in furnace with hollow electrodes, gas blowing in through hollow electrode, continuous removal of gas-shaped products and periodical tapping of metal and slag. Before dozing small particles of quartzite are screened out and it is fed through hollow electrodes continuously and directly into under electrode cavities with simultaneous carbon oxide blowing-in. In the case 4.5 - 6.5 mm3 of carbon oxide are blown in through hollow electrodes per 100 kg of heat consumed quartzite. EFFECT: increased productivity. 2 cl, 1 tbl
