FIELD: technology of protein purification. SUBSTANCE: method involves the use of column preparative low pressure chromatography including insulin-raw aqueous solution (at pH = 3.0-3.5) passing through ionite - product copolymerization of methacrylic, acrylic acids and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate at swelling degree value Kswell = 4.5-4.8, complete exchange capacity 9.2-9.8 mg x eq./g. Process is carried out by passing insulin-raw through indicated ionite equilibrated with 10-16% aqueous isopropanol solution at pH =3.0-3.5. Then ionite is impregnated with 10-16% aqueous isopropanol solution (pH = 3.0-3.5) and insulin is eluted with 20-25% aqueous isopropanol solution (pH = 3.4-3.9) containing 0.05-0.15 M ammonium acetate. From obtained eluate the end product is isolated by precipitation. Insulin purification degree is increased to 98.7%. EFFECT: increased purification of insulin.
