METHOD FOR TREATMENT OF CONGENITAL CLUB FOOT IN YOUNG CHILDREN

FIELD: medicine; orthopedics. SUBSTANCE: method for treatment of congenital club foot in young children includes provision of access to talocrural articulation, dissection of ligaments and tendons, arthrotomy of jumping joints. Novelty consists in that the ligaments are dissected on the internal and external surfaces of the talocrural articulation external malleolus is mobilized, talus is set into bifurcation of talocrural articulation, physiological talocalcaneal angle is formed and two inserting wires are used to fix the obtained position. The external malleolus is displaced forward and fixed to the tibia with one end of allotendon sutured to it beforehand. The wound is sutured, allotendon is driven in form of packer under skin up to diaphysis of metatrasal bone and sutured in position of light foot hypercorrection. EFFECT: restoration of the normal talocalcaneal angle in two planes to prevent recurrence of the illness.
