FIELD: materials for active area of nuclear reactors. SUBSTANCE: austenite steel for fuel element which contains chrome, nickel, molybdenum, magnesium, niobium, boron, carbon, silicon, nitrogen, cerium, iron and secondary constituents, is also supplied with titanium and vanadium. Mass ratio of components in percents is following: chrome 15.0 - 16.5, nickel 18.0 - 25.0, molybdenum 1.5 - 2.0, titanium 0.25 - 0.45, vanadium 0.05 - 0.015, niobium 0.1 - 0.4 boron 0.001 - 0.005, carbon 0.05 - 0.09, nitrogen ≅ 0.02, sulfur 0.10, aluminum 0.1, cerium 0.15, the rest is iron. Sum of boron and phosphor is less than 0.025, ratio of sum of titanium, vanadium and niobium to carbon is in range of 8-13. EFFECT: increased stability against expanding when burn-up is greater than 10.0 - 12.0 percents, while keeping high level of manufacturing facilities, stability in phase and structure and other characteristics.
