FIELD: testing technology; technical diagnosis of rigid control transmission of flying vehicle control systems, mainly man-operated control systems. SUBSTANCE: transverse vibrations of rod-type member rigidly secured at either end are excited and actual frequency of natural bending vibrations of this structure are determined; mismatch between frequency measured at serviceable structure and actual frequency is indicative of damage. Rigid control transmission is fixed at one side and vibrations of entire control system are excited through control surface at its free end.
