FIELD: electrified railways; maintenance and repair of contact system. SUBSTANCE: method comes to unwinding at mounting or winding at demounting of carrier cable and-or contact wire with required longitudinal effort through support-and-guide members 23 held in height and side displacement positions. Main peculiarity of method is that at approaching to point of branching off or crossing with carrier cable or contact wire of adjacent anchor section, carrier cable (contact wire) behind crossing zone at side opposite to location of support-and-guide members is connected with tension doubling device and effort of this tension is transferred from support-and-guide member (and feed blocks) to doubling device after which crossing is passed and effort of longitudinal tension is transferred to support-and-guide members feed blocks and further mounting (demounting) is carried out. Crossing is passed by disconnecting previously loosened (sagging) carrier cable (contact wire), carrying the end over (to pass crossing) and subsequently restoring the connection by welding or by using detachable connector. In one of versions ends are moved over by means of special wire rope secured before disconnection at different side of crossing to embrace carrier cable (contact wire) of adjacent anchor section. Doubling tension is provided by fastening carrier cable (contact wire) on one of following devices: movable base 18 (support-and-guide member carrier); mounting rail car 19 (coupled with base), lifting-and-mounting platform (truck) 27 arranged on rail car roof with pulling mechanism (winch) arranged on rail car 19 or on truck 27.
