FIELD: powder metallurgy, apparatuses to produce powders by metal smelts spraying used for production of zinc, lead, aluminum and other metals powder in particular. SUBSTANCE: aim is to develop apparatus, that is simple in technical servicing, does not require power consumption, provides high productivity, quality and range of produced powders without increase of pressure and air consumption. Apparatus to produce metal powder from smelt has body 1 with cylindrical cavity partitioned for outer ring-type part 2 and inner ring-type part 3, each of which using holes 4 and 5 communicates with source of compressed air (it is not shown), mounted in body 1 tube 6 for smelt feeding, output end 7 of which has jet joint made in the form of two connected with outer cavity 2 shifted in respect to each other truncated conical pieces 8 and 9 with inclination angle to tube 6 axis of 30 deg and connected with inner cavity 3 of air stream swirlier 10 made in the form of cylindrical headpiece, on surface of which there are air passage grooves 11, 12 and 13 nonuniformly located on surface at angle of 30 dwg to tube axis 6. Apparatus has cylindrical partitioning member 14 and two swirlers 15 and 16 with uniformly located at angle of 30 deg to axis of tube 6 grooves 17 and 18. In the case swirlers 15 and 16 are mounted before jet joint and one of them - swirlier 15 is made in the form of disk fixed on partitioning member 14 and is located in outer cavity 2 and second - swirlier 16 is made in the form of cylindrical headpiece of bigger size than cylindrical headpiece 10 of jet joint is mounted in partitioning member 14 in inner cavity 3. Hole 5 of body 1 is located tangentially. Tube 6 for smelt feeding is made of metal and has presents body partitioned for outer ring-type canal 19 and inner cylindrical canal 20, first of which is conjugated by hole 21 with source of smelt feeding and second - through grooves 22 with branch pipe 24 with source of compressed air. EFFECT: apparatus is simple in technical servicing, does not require power consumption and provides high productivity, quality and range of produced powders.
