摘要

FIELD: determination of residual amount of synthetic cationic flocculant in purified potable water, sewage water, in food industry. SUBSTANCE: in determination of residual amount of synthetic cationic flocculant, the latter is subjected to adsorption concentration with the help of hydroxyxanthene dye, coagulated by mineral alumo-containing coagulant which forms white sediment, pH is corrected, if required, to 7.0-9.0; mixed, precipitated and filtered through paper filter. Then, visual colorimetry is accomplished by comparing the sample filter with color of filters of standard scale, and residual amount of flocculant equal to 0.01-0.14 mg/l is determined. EFFECT: higher sensitivity of determination in potable water of residual amount of synthetic cationic flocculant based on polystyrene of polyvinyl toluene.
