Other object of invention are derivatives of trifluoromethylpivalanilide of the general formula (VII) where Y means hydrogen or halide which are intermediate products for synthesis of 2-methyl-3-trifluoromethylaniline. These derivatives were synthesized by methylation of compound of the formula (VIII) where Y - as indicated above. EFFECT: improved method of synthesis."/>
