FIELD: analytical methods in food industry. SUBSTANCE: method includes preliminary preparation of milk sample for analysis by way of precipitating proteins with hydrochloric acid, separating serum with specified pH value, transferring strontium from serum to sample, and measuring strontium activity in the sample. Improvement consists in that, in order to accelerate analytical procedure, transfer of strontium Sr-90 from serum to sample is performed by means of introduction into the serum with pH 1-1.5 of titanium phosphate in Sr²⁺ form as a sorbent followed by washing of sorbent and measuring activity of adsorbed Sr-90 directly in the sorbent. EFFECT: accelerated analysis.
