Flue gas desulphurisation device operation

In the desulphurisation device, a calcium hydrate suspension is used and introduced as a circulating gas washing suspension into a gas washer with spray planes. Fresh suspension is fed batchwise to the system. The fresh suspension is added to the gas washer together with the circulating gas washer suspension in a stepwise fashion pH controlled up to a pH of 8.3 redundantly through the upper spray planes. The required fresh suspension is fed stepwise through the lower spray planes and/or the sump into the washer.
