Ethernet-bus system with redundant bus interconnection of single port stations and segmented structuring

A segmentable Ethernet-bus system using n(greater than unit) bus-lines for redundant networking of single-port stations with control output and a communications port. To provide a bus system independent of media and topology as well as fully conforming to standards, bidirectional multiplexers (3) with a multiplexed port (31) and n-line ports (33l-33n) and a control port (32) are used. At least one observation or surveillance unit (4) is used and includes 12-line ports (43l-43n). Each single-port station (2) is provided with a multiplexer (3), and the communications port (21) of the single-port station (2) is connected to the multiplexed port (31) of the multiplexer (3) and control output (22) of the station (2). The n-line ports (33l-33n) of each multiplexer (3) are connected to the bus lines (1i-1n) of an Ethernet segment (1).
