The device consists of a small truncated collar (30) with radial cut-outs (31), of which the large base section is situated facing the head (20) of the assembly element (10). The two are separated by a truncated throat (40) whose height is slightly greater than the piece to be fixed (50). The effect of screwing down the screw forces the retained element (50) past the truncated collar (30) thus retaining the head (20) of the screw (10) in the hole (51) in the piece to be fixed (50).
