In the device, the sausage skin is placed in a gathered form on a tube which is then fitted over the filling pipe and sealed by an adapter and a connecting nut to the outlet of the filling machine. The sausage skin slides off the tube as it receives the sausage filling coming from the filling pipe. A means is pref. provided for stopping the flow of sausage filling from the machine so the filling pipe can be exchanged. USE/ADVANTAGE - In the filling of sausage skins, and especially of natural gut skins. The device is effective, saves time and is convenient to operate, and it can readily be fitted to existing sausage filling machines.
