Air jet classifier for determining particle size distribution

An air jet classifier has a bowl-shaped housing (23), a test sieve with a cover (10) and sieve base (3) set on the housing, a driven slit nozzle (7) which rotates about the vertical centre line of the sieve, and air inlet and outlet passages connecting the nozzle to the outside of the housing. A weighing cell (19), with its wt. transmission point on the centre line of the sieve, is located below the housing and a three-armed holder (17) with a connecting element (18) at the wt. transmission point carries a lifting ring (13). The weighing cell is secured to a mounting part (20) which carries a lifting device (39, 40) by means of which the weighing cell and lifting ring can be displaced relative to the bowl-shaped housing in a direction parallel to the central axis.
