The sealing device (17) has at least one sealing element (18) and a holder (19) for fitting to the transporter, pref. in the form of a holding plate. The sealing element is held against this plate, and can move towards the transporter belt. There is an adjusting device (20) for the self-operating adjustment of the sealing element towards the belt. The adjusting device may have at least one spring element (21). Each sealing element may have at least two spring elements, pref. in the form of screw pressure springs. The spring element may act directly on the upper side (22) of the sealing element.
