The elongated housing (1), placed on the ground, has a central space for bait, equidistant from the two end openings. The space is in the form of a shaft (5) closable by a lid (4) fitted sideways onto the housing when in use, and whose base is on the same level as the base of the housing into which it leads. A trough (7) in the housing is connected to the bait-compartment by a passage. The trough is defined by upright walls (8) lower than the housing. The housing contains transverse walls (9,10) protruding from the base and extending the full width of the housing.
