Compsn. for treating demyelinating encephalitis and for protective immunostimulation in humans and animals, comprises as active ingredient at least one organosilicon cpd. (I). PREFERRED COMPONENTS - (I) is esp. silylated alginic acid, dimethyl silandiol or methyl silandiol. (I) can be mixed with bentonite, pref. with addn. of vaseline and/or castor oil triglyceride polyglycol ether.
