Economically constructed valve delivering one- or two-component fluid or foam systems

This valve delivers fluid or foam from a pressurised vessel; esp. polyurethane foam for e.g. mounting or sealing. Valve body and stem are fastened in a circular opening of the top valve plate. Pressing the stem down against spring loading, opens a valve sealed by lips over conical surfaces. The following novel arrangement minimises the number of components: (i) the stem (1) is united with a flexible dome (2), its outer edges fastened in the valve plate opening (3); (ii) the opening penetrates to the vessel interior, the seal being formed between surfaces (6) and lips (7) on a plug (8) fastened to, or sprung against the lower end of the stem (1); and (iii) pressing the dome (2) region opens the valve. Pref. the dome (2) blends into an integral cylindrical wall section (5) within the vessel. Sealing surfaces (6) are located low inside this section (5) and have conical internal section. An alternative arrangement has the seals on the outside of this section, with a lower plug gripping round the wall. The cylindrical wall section may carry the sealing lips, with sealing surfaces on the plug (8). On the underside of the cylindrical wall section (5) is a valve plate (10) supporting a compression spring (9) which spring loads for valve closure.
