Detecting volume changes of electrolytes esp. blood or lymph fluid in living body parts

The body parts (1) under examination are placed between the capacitor plates (2a,b) of a measuring probe (2). The output signals of the measuring probe are signal processed. They provide a display of an amplitude representing the respective electrolyte volume or the change in electrolyte volume. The body part is exposed to an alternating electric field (E) of the measuring probe which forms part of an electric vibrating loop. The loop is driven as a resonant circuit. The resonant frequency of the loop varies as the electrolyte volume in the body part changes. The change in resonant frequency is used as an output signal. The resonant frequency is preferably in the MHz range.
