The invention concerns packaging for dental X-ray film, which packaging comprises a light-protective envelope (4) in an X-ray-protective envelope (1) which can be easily opened and enables the light-protective envelope (4) to be removed. This X-ray-protective envelope (1) also comprises the lead foil (2) which provides protection against X-rays. The packaging can be easily opened by a device such that the dental X-ray film (3) can be inserted into a developing device, which does not necessarily have to be in a dark-room.
