Procedure for fixing the winding heads of electrical machinery and means of carrying out the procedure

For the purpose of fixing the conductors and coils of winding overhangs, and for filling in interspaces in the winding overhangs of electrical machines, cords are employed which have compressible cores (1), which are composed of fibres and are surrounded by an elastic sheath (2) which is permeable to impregnating resin. The spacer means is introduced into the winding overhangs with a thickness which is relatively large compared to the distances to be filled in. The cords are impregnated after they have been drawn in. In order to improve the overhang corona shielding, the cords, prior to being drawn in, are treated with a conductive impregnant which is permeable to the impregnating resins. IMAGE
