The system is for the distribution or splitting of streams of liq., esp. streams of waste water, by means of settling tanks. The settling tank has a cylindrical outer wall (11) and at least separate cylindrical chambers arranged co-axially inside this outer wall. The inner chamber (15) has a wall 813) which forms an overflow weir and has an inlet pipe (19) and an outlet pipe (20). The intermediate chamber (16) and the outer chamber (17) have no inlets in their walls but each chamber has an outlet pipe. These outlets are opposite to each other and at right angles to the inlet (19) and outlet pipe (20), of the outer chamber (17). USE - Drainage systems.
