The invention relates to a binder for receiving perforated and/or unperforated documents. The binder has an inner pocket on at least one of its binder covers (10, 12), which is defined by a flap (28) folded over towards the interior of the binder and two folded strips (30) engaging over the cover and the flap on their mutually opposite narrow side edges. Furthermore, one of the binder covers (10) is provided with insertion slits (34) to receive marker strips (36) projecting outwards at the end beyond the adjacent narrow side edge (29). In order also to enable marker strips to be attached to the binder cover (10) in the region of the inner pocket, the folded strip (30) adjacent to the insertion slits (34) is provided with slit-shaped fold apertures (40) for the marker strips (36) to pass through, these being formed by a transverse punching separating the fold of the folded strip in the region of the narrow side edge (29).
