The present invention relates to a method for producing a double-sided adhesive with a peel-off protective film and products including such an adhesive. The invention has a cut going half the way through it, to the desired length of the adhesive with peel-off protective film, so as to cut the adhesive while leaving the peel-off protective film intact. By removing the excess adhesive, the uncovered peel-off protective film forms a tab for grasping, making it easier to peel off the protective film with a view to sticking the adhesive. The invention applies mainly to the attaching of elongate plastic and/or elastomeric bodies to a motor vehicle. IMAGE
