The appts. includes at least one circulation loop discharge module having discharge tubes (13,14,15) through which light beams pass. The tubes are of dielectric material and place between excitation electrodes (20,21), a heat exchanger (18) and a ventilator (19). The ventilator is placed downstream from the heat exchanger. Also provided are mirrors (25-30) defining with each discharge tube an optical resonator and a power supply connected to the ventilator.Each tube connects to a connector box (11) by a convergent tube cone (16) and to an inner connector box (12) by a divergent tube cone (17). The connection boxes connect to thermal exchangers (18,18') and ventilators (19,19') creating a circulating loop and cooling the dielectric gases. A compression ratio of less than 1.2 is provided by the ventilator.
